Have you ever wanted to have a numeric field to sort the numbers but didn’t need the comma for the digit grouping?
Well, my tip is add a new calculated field which is based on the number field. As the formula add
Add the numbers of “0” of the maximum length of the digits, let’s say your biggest number is 654321 then the formula would look like
This will create leading zeros on numbers like 004321 and makes the list sortable. Modify the view to just display the number field and sort by the new hidden calculated field.
Ever wanted to delete files of a certain type but keep files not older than 30 days? Well, here is a fast and simple way to clean up, for example old IIS log files in seconds.
Open command line and type the following:
The text in italic bold are parameters you can change to your needs. Adjust the „-30″ to age of log files to keep (in days) and the path to the log files, in this case „C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles“.
This can be used to delete many file types. For this edit the „*.log“ to the needed filter

Otherwise just enable the feature.
If you use VMWare Workstation 8 and want to minimze the VMWare the VMWare window stays on top. This can happen if you have VMWare or other programs pinned to taskbar. If you remove the “Pin to taskbar” option from VMWare then it should work again. After installing another program the same thing happens again even if the “Pin to taskbar” is not set. If anyone has a permanent solution feel free to post the answer!
Microsoft Update MS13-004 and SharePoint 2010 running on Windows Server 2008 RTM causes SharePoint to not function. If you installed the patch, uninstalling [KB 2756920] will fix the problem. You can also install Service Pack 1 to reslove the problem. It is a known issue which also affects other products like Exchange 2010.

After importing [stsadm –o import –url http://myurl –filename d:\exports\filetoimport.cmp] a site from a SharePoint export to my SharePoint server I opend the URL and got the following error: “File not found”
After looking around I found nothing. What file could SharePoint mean? The first thing I always try is to open the “/_layouts/settings.aspx” If the page opens this is a good hint to where the problem could be. If you check the Pages library (if Publishinging Feature is activated) you will see a page with a name like Home (default) for example. This is the page the users see first when opening the site. This is defined under “Look and Feel” – Welcome page. To every page there is a Page layout and a master page that both need to be in the gallerie in order for the page to display at all. If any of these 2 pages are not there the “File not found” error will show up. These files will not be in the export because these files are part of the file system and not the Database of the site. When you upload the files to the “Master pages and page layouts” Gallerie be sure to check the files in or the files can not be accessed. In this library you will also find the PageLayoutxxx.aspx and default.master files. The master file is set under “Look and Feel” – Master Page settings.
If you want to open a document library with “Open with Windows Explorer” you use the WebDAV protocol to list the folder contents on a SharePoint. This can be very helpful if you need to copy a lot of files from or to your computer. Opening the Explorer View on a Windows 7 computer you get an logon window to enter your credentials. It works, is little annoying though. To fix this you need to change a setting in your registry:
If user A is logged on to a PC and another user B logs on via RDP, user A gets disconnected but the process are still running in the background. This confuses SCCM and doesn’t update the second logged on session from user B!
After a reboot, the RDP session becomes the first session and advertisements show up.
This is the case for Machine and User based policies.
Dann folgenden Befehl eingeben:
